CVs FAQ

What format should my CV be in?

You can submit files in MS Word or PDF format. We'd recommend PDF as they generally result in much smaller files and therefore quicker upload/download times.

I've not done a CV before. Is there a format I should follow?

Generally your CV should say enough about you to create interest and make potential employers want to see you. Therefore it should be concise (no more than 2-3 pages) with clearly marked out sections. Topics covered should be:

Overview
Who are you and what do you do
Skillset: Your specific area of expertise and any associated qualifications
Statistics: Actors will also need to show their measurements; Height, weight, hair colour, etc.
Contact: Mobile Phone; email addresses, etc. (Users are advised not to disclose your home address or ‘phone number) If you have an agent, give their details as well.
Resume: Examples of the productions you've worked on to date. Try not to repeat your text, even if the production is a carbon-copy of one you'd worked on previously. Try and highlight specific areas that made that production different. ie: "lots of action sequences, esp swords and close combat scenes" or "worked closely with SFX technicians"
