Screenplays

The Production Village owns the rights to two original film scripts.

Winner of Best Feature Screenplay (Unproduced) at the Venice Art & Film Festival, and selected for the Chicago Script Awards, Brian Luff’s “Trench Foot & Bullnose Morris Men” is a dark comedy set in World War I. It’s based on the remarkable true story of a woman who travelled to France in 1914 on a mission to teach morris dancing to a group of soldiers suffering from PTSD – a condition then referred to as “shell shock”.

Nominated for the London Best Script Award in February 2024, “Muddleton” is a feature screenplay (unproduced) based on Brian Luff’s forthcoming comic novel about a dysfunctional family of aristocrats trying to save their crumbling stately home from demolition..
