Screenplays

The Production Village owns the rights to two original film scripts.

Winner of Best Feature Screenplay (Unproduced) at the Venice Art & Film Festival, and selected for the Chicago Script Awards, Brian Luff’s “Trench Foot & Bullnose Morris Men” is a dark comedy set in World War I. It’s based on the remarkable true story of a woman who travelled to France in 1914 on a mission to teach morris dancing to a group of soldiers suffering from PTSD – a condition then referred to as “shell shock”.

Winner of Best Screenplay at the CFK International Film Festival in 2025, “Muddleton” was also nominated for the London Best Script Award in February 2024. It’s a feature screenplay (unproduced) based on Brian Luff’s comic novel about a dysfunctional family of aristocrats trying to save their crumbling stately home from demolition..
